Are you thinking about moving?

Here´s a list of tips that can help you plan and organize a move.

Repair and remodel.

• Check with a plumber the state of the pipes and plumbing in your new house. You don´t want any surprises!
• Check with an electrician the state of the electrical system in your new house.
  
• If you´re going to paint, do it before moving in.
• If there´s a carpet, have it cleaned before moving in.
  
• Change the locks on all outside doors.
  
• Fumigate the house.
• Check to see if you need to take any extra security measures.

Pack:

• Classify objects according to the kind of object and the fragility of the object.
• Make a detailed list of the objects that are being packed into each box and number the boxes. Keep your inventory list in a safe place.
• Label leach box according to the place were they are destined: kitchen, kids playroom, etc.
• Get enough packing materials: boxes, wardrobe boxes, bubble wrap, foam, plastic.
• Seal in plastic bags any objects that are small and fragile.

Hire insurance

• Hire insurance for your move. In case your objects are lost or damaged, you will have the money to replace them.

Don´t forget to clean your new house before the move arrives.
